Mariposas del Sol House - "Casa Feliz"

Description: This photo collection is the Mariposas del Sol rental house in Montezuma.

This house was built in 2005, and has required almost no maintenance whatseover the entire time. Many dozens of guests have stayed in it and have given rave reviews about its comfort and simple elegance. Many people have asked permission to copy the design. It didn't take a genius to figure out that this house would be a great option for the Pura Vida Sunsets project. So Geoff improved a few things about it, such as adding the outside bathroom, and the bay window. The ceilings inside the house have been raised, to give more room for the two lofts, and also to allow the addition of a roof on the sides, to keep sun of the side of the house, which will aid in cooling it.

We should mention that this Mariposas del Sol house is itself a modification of a very similar house designed and built previously in Manuel Antonio by Rico Reolon, who lives in Montezuma. The "Casa Feliz" option offered as part of the Pura Vida Sunsets eco-village is thus the third generation of the design.
